Exel Prod Distribution Inc. ("we", "us") operates exelprod.pages.dev. This policy explains what personal information we handle and on what basis. It applies to this website and to orders placed through it or by telephone.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Name, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone number, and — for trade account applications — business name, tax registration number, trade references and bank reference.

Payment information

Card details are entered directly into our payment processor's hosted fields and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We receive only the last four digits, the card type and an authorisation result.

Information collected automatically

IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages viewed, and the referring page. This is collected through server logs and analytics.

Information stored in your browser

Your shopping cart is stored in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers. It never leaves your device until you check out.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with parties who need it to do a job for us:

• Carriers — Canada Post, UPS, Purolator. They receive the delivery name, address and telephone number.
• Our payment processor — to authorise and settle payments.
• Our accountants and auditors — for statutory record keeping.
• Manufacturers — only where a warranty claim requires it, and only the detail needed to process that claim.
• Law enforcement or regulators — where we are legally required to.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks for their own purposes.

Cookies

We use as few as we can get away with:

• Strictly necessary — session integrity and checkout. These cannot be switched off.
• Analytics — aggregate page-view statistics. Set only if you accept them.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking the strictly necessary ones will break checkout.

How long we keep it

• Order and transaction records — seven years, as required by tax law
• Trade account files — for the life of the account and seven years after closure
• Marketing consents — until you withdraw them
• Server logs — 90 days
• Unsuccessful trade applications — 12 months, then deleted

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep
• Stop using it for marketing, at any time, with no reason needed
• Provide it in a portable, machine-readable format

Email privacy@exelprod.com. We respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first — not to obstruct you, but because handing someone else's data to the wrong person is the worse failure.

Security

The entire site is served over TLS. Access to order and customer records is restricted to staff who need it. Payment card data never touches our infrastructure.

No system is perfect. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as required by law.

Children

This site sells tools with sharp edges to a professional and adult market. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be notified by email to account holders.
